Carbon silicon crucible, like graphite crucible, is one of various types of crucibles and has performance advantages that other crucibles cannot match. Using high-quality refractory materials and advanced technological formulas, we have developed a new generation of high-quality carbon-silicon crucibles. It has the characteristics of high bulk density, high temperature resistance, fast heat transfer, acid and alkali resistance, high temperature strength, and strong oxidation resistance. Its service life is three times that of clay graphite crucibles. These performance advantages make carbon silicon crucibles more suitable for harsh high-temperature working environments than graphite crucibles. Therefore, in metallurgy, casting, machinery, chemical and other industrial sectors, carbon-silicon crucibles are widely used in the smelting of alloy tool steel and non-ferrous metals and their alloys, and have good economic benefits.
There are some differences and connections between carbon silicon crucibles and ordinary graphite crucibles. First of all, they are the same: Carbon-silicon crucibles are developed on the basis of ordinary crucibles and are used to smelt non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, gold, silver, lead, and zinc. The usage and storage methods are exactly the same, so pay attention to moisture and impact when storing.
Secondly, the difference lies in the materials used in the production of silicon carbide crucibles, which are mainly silicon carbide materials. Therefore, they are resistant to high temperatures and can withstand temperatures up to 1860 degrees, allowing continuous use within this temperature range. The carbon silicon crucible and its products produced by isostatic pressing have outstanding advantages such as uniform structure, high density, low sintering shrinkage, low mold yield, high production efficiency, complex shape, slender products, large and precise size, etc. At present, the price of carbon silicon crucible is generally more than three times higher than that of ordinary crucible, making it a high-quality choice for metal smelting and casting.
